The Class and School "Bilge" leaders (student representatives) of Hedef High Schools have met with Shamil Sadiq, the Founding Director of Hedef Group of Companies.
The meeting focused on the traditional election process of class and school leaders at Hedef High Schools, student participation in management, and the contributions of this model to the educational environment. It was noted that this mechanism serves to cultivate leadership qualities, a sense of responsibility, and civic standing among students.
In his speech, Shamil Sadiq emphasized the decisive role of education and upbringing in the future of the state and society. He highlighted the importance of raising young people as responsible citizens who are attached to national and spiritual values, love their mother tongue, and possess critical thinking skills. The Founding Director stated that leadership is not just a position, but a matter of behavior, being an example, and taking responsibility.
The speech also touched upon national ideology, patriotism, culture of conduct, and social responsibility, stressing the importance of students taking an active role in school life.
During the meeting, the class and school leaders were presented with "Bilge" badges and received the book "Zəfər Yolu" (The Path of Victory) as a gift. At the end of the event, the student leaders shared their impressions and expressed their gratitude for the attention shown. Information was also provided regarding the selection process and the role of the "Balabilge" (student leaders). It was noted that the selection is conducted through democratic voting, and the elected students actively participate in class and school life, implementing their ideas and initiatives for the school's development.
At Hedef High Schools, class leader elections are held annually in October and November. The process begins with a campaign phase among candidates nominated by students and teachers, followed by a democratic vote. The elected class leaders, together with the parent committee and teachers, participate in the selection of the school leader. School leader candidates present their programs, ideas, and concepts, sharing their vision for the school's development.
The elected school leader assumes the powers of the school director for one day. During this period, they are given symbolic authority to make certain decisions and implement student proposals. At the annual Pedagogical Council, class and school leaders present reports alongside teachers and deputy directors, officially discussing school issues and future tasks.
The main goal of this model is to develop leadership skills in students, strengthen their sense of responsibility, and foster their civic position. The event concluded with a commemorative photo session.
