Today, an event dedicated to the national Pi Day was held in the English department. The essence of the event was to emphasize the mysterious and equally powerful importance of the world-famous number Pi.
The opening of the event was started by the words of Mehriban Mammadova, coordinator of the Mathematics subject block.
In the second part, the students of class 3E showed a special show in ballet costumes and this show was very entertaining. Then, the children of class 6E
talked about the history of the Pi number with the title “The Journey of Pi Through History” and voiced interesting ideas.
In the next part, the students of the primary school added color to our event by performing a song about the number Pi.
In the last part, an intellectual mathematics competition called “Pi Competition” took place. 3 teams participated in the competition. The teams were “Pi-nfinity”, “Py- thones”, “Pi- rate Ship”. The questions consisted of 3 parts with a game called Jeopardy. In the end, the Pi-infinity team won and took first place. Veli Velizadeh, executive director of Hadaf High School, awarded the children with gold medals and certificates and wished them more success in their future lives. Eren Kancılar, director of Hadaf Cambridge School, emphasized that the children's bravery is worthy of praise.
