The 2nd Turkic Integration Olympiad (TIO) is an academic competition for school students from Turkic states and national communities.
This Olympiad aims to foster the awareness of the slogan "Unity in Language, Thought, and Work" among Turkic nations and to bring young generations together through education.
TIO is based on the Friendship of Sciences Olympiad (FDO), which was established in 2009 by Hedef Publishing, a company within the Hedef Group of Companies. Over 14 editions of FDO have taken place, with questions designed in an integrative format, combining elements from 2 to 5 subjects. In TIO, at least one subject in each question will be related to the geography, literature, history, culture, or shared scientific heritage of the Turkic world.
The Olympiad will include students from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Tatarstan, Crimea, Karachays, Gagauzia, Chuvashia, Uzbekistan, Bulgaria, Bashkortostan, Altai, Tuva, Sakha-Yakutia, Khakassia, Western Thrace, East Turkestan (Uyghur region), South Azerbaijan, Kirkuk Turks, Borchali (Georgia), and other regions.
Participants will answer 20 questions within 60 minutes. Scoring will be based on the difficulty level of the questions:
The Olympiad is organized by Hedef Group of Companies, TÜRKSOY, the Azerbaijan Atatürk Center, Kazakhstan Turan University, and Eastern Mediterranean University.
