The 2nd “From Training to Competence” Forum was held at Baku Slavic University.

On May 2, the 2nd “From Training to Competence” Forum was held at Baku Slavic University. Dedicated to the field of preschool education, the forum was jointly organized by the Hedef Group of Companies and Baku Slavic University.

The event began with a one-minute silence in honor of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland, followed by the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan. A video presentation was then shown, and the composition “Land of the Turk,” performed by the young children of Balabilge Kindergarten, added a vibrant atmosphere to the event.

At the opening ceremony, the founder and director of the Hedef Group of Companies, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Shamil Sadiq, delivered the first speech. He emphasized that education is not only about transferring knowledge, but also about transforming that knowledge into practical skills. He noted that the main mission of the modern education system is to raise a generation that is creative, thoughtful, committed to national and moral values, and capable of competing globally. In his speech, Shamil Sadiq highlighted that the forum symbolizes the transition from thought to action, from theory to practice.

Afterward, the Rector of Baku Slavic University, Anar Naghiyev, spoke about the importance of educational reforms carried out in the country and emphasized that the forum serves as an important platform bridging knowledge and skills.

Within the framework of the official opening, Member of Parliament Jeyhun Mammadov, Deputy Director of the State Agency for Preschool and General Education Vafa Yagublu, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences Aygun Majidova, and Director of Lilybaby child equipment company Dilara Yigit also delivered welcoming speeches.

In the main part of the forum, presentations were delivered on актуal направлениях preschool education. Honored Teacher of the Republic Lalazar Jafarova spoke on “State Regulation of Preschool Education,” senior lecturer at ADPU, head of the training center, PhD in Pedagogy Khalida Hamidova presented on “An Innovative Journey in Preschool Education,” and lecturer at the Inclusive and Adaptive Department of Baku Slavic University, psychologist Fatima Abiyeva, delivered a presentation on “The Role of Inclusive and Adaptive Approaches in Preschool Education.”

Clinical psychologist Anara Guliyeva presented on “Play Therapy: Games in Children’s Psychological Preparation,” while Gulser Yigit, founder of Dodi Educational Institutions, spoke about the search for pedagogical models in early childhood.

Nazakat Mehdiyeva, Director of the Methodological Support and Professional Development Center of the Institute of Education, shared her extensive experience with participants and conducted interactive surveys and discussions on the topic.

Director of “Khan” Publishing House and writer Sabuhi Shahmursoy spoke about educational materials used in preschool education. One of the most notable parts of the forum was the demonstration of a STEAM-based lesson model presented by Narmin Arabli, director of Balabilge Kindergarten.

Within the framework of the event, speakers were presented with commemorative plaques and Nakhchivan rock salt. All participants were awarded certificates.

At the closing ceremony, Head of the Organizing Committee Elvin Aliyev stated that the forum had been successfully concluded and invited participants to attend the next – the 3rd “From Training to Competence” Forum.
