The 5th Children’s Book Festival to Be Held in Baku

The 5th Children’s Book Festival, the only project of its kind in the country and the region, will take place on May 13–17. The festival is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, and ANAIB.

The opening ceremony of the festival will be held on May 13 at 10:00 AM at the Baku Sports Hall.

The main purpose of the festival is to increase children’s interest in reading, promote national and moral values, and introduce them to different world cultures.

As part of the festival, special themed days such as “National Costume Day,” “Professions Day,” “International Day,” and “Fairy Tale Character Day” will be organized.

The festival program will include meetings and autograph sessions with well-known children’s authors, presentations of new publications, as well as meetings with representatives of culture and the arts. In addition, musical and dance performances by children, stage performances, storytelling hours, and various entertaining show programs will be presented.

Within the framework of the project, 70,000 specially prepared book boxes have been printed and gifted to children. This initiative has made a significant contribution to increasing interest in children’s literature and supporting the development of children’s publishing in the country.

The 5th Children’s Book Festival will bring together children, parents, teachers, and publishing houses, turning the event into a celebration of books, creativity, and culture.
