Science Museum

The idea author of the museum, founder and principal of the lyceum, is PhD in Philology, Shamil Sadiq.

A 200-square-meter indoor space has been allocated for the museum within the educational institution.

The founder of the museum and the creator of the interactive experiments is renowned engineer Elchin Abbasov.

He is also responsible for designing the experiments showcased in the museum.

Under the banner of STEM education, it is often forgotten that the foundation of engineering and technology lies in the natural sciences, mathematics, and computer science. Instead of focusing on pre-determined results derived from assembling pre-made parts, the deep teaching of fundamental scientific principles and laws is often neglected. To demonstrate how these principles work through concrete experiments, a science museum has been created alongside subject laboratories at the lyceum. Rather than purchasing ready-made exhibits and displaying them to students without interaction, the preference has been given to creating dynamic exhibits locally. As a result, students can interact with these dynamic exhibits, observing principles and interactions in fields such as kinematics, dynamics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, optics, and more.

The Interactive Science Museum opened in 2018. It houses more than 150 exhibits. Here, young learners discover that science is not just about tests; it is the key to answering life's questions. The museum features working models, from a steam engine that laid the foundation of the industrial revolution to the most modern ion engine. Visitors can observe experiments demonstrating electromagnetism, free fall, Archimedes' principle, Tesla coils, the effects of vacuum, and the properties of light and sound, as well as many other physical phenomena.
