“Azerbaijan’s First Robot Teacher at Hədəf Lyceum”
On September 12, the grand BilFest 2025 was held in Azerbaijan, uniting science, technology, and art. As part of the festival, the opening ceremony of the Hədəf STARS Campus and the Kamil Interactive Science Museum—the first open-air science museum in the country—took place.
The event was attended by members of parliament, state and science figures, university leaders, special guests from Turkey, educators, parents, and hundreds of students.
After the national anthem was played, guests watched a performance titled “From the Past to the Future – In the Light of Science,” prepared for Knowledge Day. The scene featured young students and included a presentation by Bilgə Robot, known as Azerbaijan’s first robot teacher.
Later, Associate Professor Shamil Sadiq, the founding director of Hədəf Companies Group, addressed the audience and stated the main goal of the Hədəf Concept:
“Science is not only in the pages of books but in life itself. Our goal is not just for children to read, but to see, touch, and feel.”
Several official guests also delivered speeches at the festival:
The speeches emphasized the importance of innovative approaches in education and the role of science and technology as the key to the future.
The newly launched Hədəf STARS Campus offers students IB and STEAM programs, along with a bilingual education model. This system allows students to study in Azerbaijani-English or Russian-English simultaneously.
One of the campus’s key innovations is the integration of a robot teacher into the learning process. This provides students with practical interaction with artificial intelligence, offering motivation and new learning methods.
The Kamil Interactive Science Museum, also opened during the festival, features over 10 interactive exhibits demonstrating the laws of physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, and computer science. The museum is open to both lyceum students and the general public.
After the official part of the festival, attendees enjoyed a large concert program. Performers included People’s Artists Samir Jafarov and Faig Aghayev, young singers Ilkin Dovlatov and Mardan, rapper Promete, the “Ateshgah” dance group, and stand-up comedians Elvin Pasha, Elkin Ergin, Fadain Allahverdiyev, and Turkish guest Doruk Kaparlar.
BilFest 2025 once again showed that science is not limited to classrooms but is an integral part of our daily lives. The event’s motto was “Science Will Save the World,” a message that illuminated the hearts of all participants.
Hədəf STARS Campus and the Kamil Interactive Science Museum mark a new era in Azerbaijani education, uniting science, technology, and art.
